Here is a simple way to make you own cards if you have a Hewlett Packard Printer. It seems that the sizing is different on a Cannon. The concept will still work, but the sizing may need to be changed.

If anyone figures it out I will gladly add the information.

You will not need to flip your images or use any other tools. Simply go to a testbed with this code.

<html> <spacer type=block height=380 width=320> <img src="address of image to be used" width="550" height="320"> </html> </plaintext><p>I use the <a href="http://www.jmarshall.com/easy/html/testbed.html ">HTML TestBed</a> <p>What this will do is put the image on the bottom half of the card and eliminate the need for flipping the image. <p>Just change the address to put any image in that appeals to you. I try to use an image that has a white background to avoid seeing the white border that the printer leaves around the edge of the paper. <p><br><br>To put text inside of the card you will use <p><plaintext> <html> <br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br <br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br <br><br><br><br> <br><br><br><font size="7" color="blue"><center> Line #1<br><br>Line #2<br><br> Line #3 <br> <br> Line #4 </font></center> </html> </plaintext><p>To add more lines and keep the text centered you will need to play around with the break tags above.<p>When ready, put the paper back in the printer with the image facing up and to the front.<br><br><br> Here are a few images that I have printed sucessfully<br><br> <a href="cards1.gif">Balloons</a><br><br> <a href="cards2.gif">Children in lake</a><br><br> <a href="cards3.gif">Newborn</a><br><br> <a href="cards4.gif">Kitten in shoe</a><br><br> <a href="cards5.gif">Marbles</a><br><br> <a href="cards6.gif">Friendship</a><br><br> <a href="cards7.gif">Gently aging</a><br><br> <P>A special thanks goes to Fran for letting me know about the differences in printers.<br><br><a href="news:alt.discuss.webtv.printerhelp"> alt.discuss.webtv.printerhelp</a><br><br>and<br> <br><a href="news:alt.discuss.programming.html">alt.discuss. programming.html</a><br><br>for teaching me nearly everything I know about WebTV.<br><center> <FORM> <SELECT NAME="list"> <OPTION SELECTED VALUE="http://www.geocities.com/PicketFence/3435"> Home <OPTION VALUE="http://www.geocities.com/PicketFence/3435/BGLi nks.html">Backgrounds<OPTION VALUE="http://www.geocities.com/PicketFence/3435/Bann ers.html">Banners...<OPTION VALUE="http://www.geocities.com/PicketFence/3435/game s.html">Games...<OPTION VALUE="http://www.geocities.com/PicketFence/3435/holi day.html">Holidays<OPTION VALUE="http://www.geocities.com/PicketFence/3435/HTML help.html">HTML help<OPTION VALUE="http://www.geocities.com/PicketFence/3435/midi .html">Midi's<OPTION VALUE="http://www.geocities.com/PicketFence/3435/card s.html">Cards<OPTION VALUE="http://www.geocities.com/PicketFence/3435/Sear ch.html">Search <OPTION VALUE="http://www.geocities.com/PicketFence/3435/tool s.html">Tools<OPTION VALUE="http://www.geocities.com/PicketFence/3435/webt v.html">WebTV </SELECT></P> </CENTER> <CENTER><P> <INPUT TYPE=BUTTON VALUE="Go Get It!" onClick="top.location.href=this.form.list.options[thi s.form.list.selectedIndex].value"> </FORM></P></CENTER><br><center><img src="http://www.geocities.com/cgi-bin/counter"><br><br></font><font size=2> This page hosted by <a href="/"><img src="http://www.geocities.com/pictures/gc_icon.gif" border=0 align=middle></a>   Get your own <a href="/">Free Home Page</a> <BR></body></html>
